Susanne Mundschenk is Research Fellow at the Center for European
Integration Studies (ZEI) of the University of Bonn. Previously she has
worked for the Association for the Monetary Union of Europe based in Paris.
She is currently research scholar at the European Institute of the London
School of Economics. Her research interests are European monetary
integration, public finances, economic growth and governance in the EU. She
conducted research projects for the European Commission, the German
Ministry of Labour and Ministry of Finance as well as the World Economic
Forum. Her current research is on structural change and growth in EU
countries.
Michael H. Stierle is Economist at the European Commission, Directorate
General Economic and Financial Affairs. He studied economics at Trier
University and UNAM, Mexico City and holds a PhD from Speyer
University. He has worked in economic departments in the private financial
sector as well as in academic research. He is a founding member and
Chairman of the International Network for Economic Research (INFER)
since 1998. His policy-oriented research is mostly concentrated on
international economics, financial markets, growth and business cycles as
well as regional economics.
Ulrike Stierle-von Schütz holds a Diploma in Economics from Trier
University. Currently she is working as research assistant at the RWTH
Aachen University, Department of Public Economics. Her main fields of
expertise are economic integration, regional economics and fiscal federalism.
She is co-ordinator of the INFER Working Group Growth and Business
Cycles and elected INFER board member.
