Yusong Chen is currently a diplomat at the Permanent Mission of
China to the WTO. Previously, he was a legal affairs officer in the
Department of Treaties & Laws of China's Ministry of Commerce
(MOFCOM). He participated in many Chinese legislative activities,
including the drafting of China's Foreign Trade law, antidumping/
CVD/safeguard regulations, and so on. As a negotiator, he par-
ticipated in the WTO Doha negotiations, mainly focused on the
issues of TRIPS (GIs and CBD) and rules (anti-dumping, subsidy
and fisheries subsidies), as well as many bilateral trade negotia-
tions, including China's FTA negotiations. He was also involved in
the WTO dispute settlement proceedings on behalf of China. He
holds an LLB in International Economic Law with magna cum
laude from the Law School of Peking University (PKU) and a
Diploma in Public Administration from China's National School
of Administration (CNSA). He also has an LLM with distinction
in EU and International Trade Law from Amsterdam Law School,
Universiteit van Amsterdam (UvA). He has published various
articles in the field of international economic law.
Henrique Choer Moraes is a career diplomat currently posted at
the Permanent Mission of Brazil to the European Communities
(Brussels), where he is in charge of following intellectual property
issues as well as the work of the World Customs Organization
(WCO). Prior to that, he worked at the Intellectual Property
Division of Brazil's Ministry of External Relations, where he served
