ABOUT THE EDITORS

Prof. Dr Jan Wouters, Director, Leuven Centre for Global Governance
Studies, at the University of Leuven (KU Leuven) and InBev-Baillet
Latour EU-China Chair. Jan Wouters is Professor of International Law
and International Organizations, Jean Monnet Chair Ad Personam EU
and Global Governance and Director of the Leuven Centre for Global
Governance Studies and Institute for International Law, KU Leuven. He
is Visiting Professor at Sciences Po and the College of Europe, President of
the Flemish Foreign Affairs Council and Of Counsel at Linklaters. He is a
Member of the Royal Flemish Academy of Belgium for Sciences and Arts.
He studied law and philosophy in Antwerp and Yale University (LLM
1990), was a Visiting Researcher at Harvard Law School and obtained his
PhD at KU Leuven (1996). He taught at the Universities of Antwerp and
`
Maastricht, was Visiting Professor at Liege and Kyushu University and
Re´fe´rendaire at the European Court of Justice (1991­94).

Prof. Dr Tanguy de Wilde d'Estmael, Institute for European Studies and

InBev-Baillet Latour EU­China Chair, Universite catholique de Louvain
(UCL). Tanguy de Wilde is Professor of International Relations and
European Politics at the UCL. He is President of the Louvain School of
Political and Social Sciences and Director of the InBev-Baillet Latour EU­
Russia and EU­China Chairs. A Member of the European Studies
Institutes (UCL-FUSL), he is a Visiting Professor at the College of Europe
