Abstract/Description:

It is well known that the meaning of ‘design’ is fiendishly difficult to contain. In English, the word ‘design’ functions as a noun, a verb and an adjective. It can refer to the ornamentation applied to an invention or the stylization of a sign, or to the three dimensional aspects of a product. A holistic approach would lead one to conclude that ‘design’ refers to the process or an evolutionary medium of creation rather than a finished product.
