Abstract/Description:
According to the US Energy Information Administration’s (EIA) Electric Power Annual, US residential and commercial buildings account for about 41 percent of all energy consumption and 73 percent of electricity usage. Most of this energy comes from burning fossil fuels and therefore contributes to climate change. Therefore, increasing energy efficiency from buildings is crucial to mitigating climate change.
