Abstract/Description:
EANECE is an informal regional initiative whose mission is to promote the rule of law, good environmental governance and sustainable development through the efficient and effective implementation and enforcement of environmental laws. The goals of the network are: 1. To strengthen the capacity of environmental regulators in East Africa for effective implementation and enforcement of environmental requirements; 2. To raise awareness of environmental requirements and the benefits of compliance; and 3. To build and strengthen in-country and cross-border relationships between environmental regulators in East Africa for improved cooperation on national and transboundary environmental issues.
