The editors would like to acknowledge that the Vanderbilt Law & Business Program
of the Vanderbilt Law School at Vanderbilt University and the Centre for Law &
Business of the Faculty of Law at the National University of Singapore each financed
and held conferences where the authors of the chapters in this Handbook presented
their work. The Vanderbilt Law School conference was held on September 26­27, 2013
in Nashville, Tennessee, USA. The National University of Singapore Law School con-
ference was held on March 6­7, 2014 at its Bukit Timah Campus in Singapore. These
conferences provided a tremendous benefit to the authors and the editors of the volume
by providing important opportunities for academic debate over the ideas discussed in
this Handbook.
