Craig Allan is a solicitor in Glasgow. Craig, together with Thérèse O'Donnell, has
published extensively regarding natural disasters, particularly focusing on the ILC
drafting project and its impact on sovereignty.

Marie Aronsson-Storrier is a Research Associate in Global Law and Disasters at the
University of Reading and a final year PhD candidate in international law at Melbourne
Law School. Marie's research and teaching interests include Disaster Risk Reduction,
Water Security, Legal Theory and International Law on the use of force.

Alison Bisset is Associate Professor in International Human Rights Law at the
University of Reading. She specialises in transitional justice, with a particular focus on
the work of truth commissions and their relationship with prosecuting bodies. Her
monograph, Truth Commissions and Criminal Courts, was published by Cambridge
University Press in 2012.

Kirsten Nakjavani Bookmiller is a Professor of Government and Director of Global
Partnerships at the Center for Disaster Research and Education at Millersville Univer-
sity. She co-founded the Disaster Law Interest Group at the American Society of
International Law and her research specialisation is in international disaster relief law
and policy.

Susan C. Breau is Professor of Law and Head of the School of Law at the University
of Reading. She specialises in the lawfulness of the use of force (including the
responsibility to protect), international humanitarian law, international organisations
law, and disaster law. She has acted as a consultant to the Commonwealth Secretariat,
