Alberto Alemanno is Jean Monnet Professor of Law at HEC Paris, and
Global Professor of Law at New York University School of Law. Alberto
is the founder and editor-in-chief of the European Journal of Risk
Regulation and a qualified attorney-at-law in New York. Due to his
commitment to bridge the gap between academic research and policy
action, he regularly provides advice to a variety of non-governmental
organizations and governments across the world as well as international
organizations (NGOs). He is also the co-founder of The Good Lobby, a
skill-sharing platform connecting academics, professionals and students
to NGOs that need expertise to make their voice heard in the policy
process. Originally from Italy, he is a graduate of the College of Europe,
Harvard Law School and Bocconi University. His latest books are Nudge
and the Law (Hart Publishing, 2015, with A L Sibony) and Regulating
Lifestyle Risks (Cambridge University Press, 2015, with A Garde).
Following his appointment as Young Global Leader, he joined the World
Economic Forum in 2015.
Jeremy Blum is a Partner in the intellectual property (IP) litigation
department at Bristows LLP and has advised and acted in many conten-
tious cases. He has a particular focus on trademarks, designs and
copyright but also has significant experience in the pharma sector and the
regulatory requirements for food and drinks. He regularly advises on the
enforcement of pharmaceutical trademarks and, in particular, the enforce-
