Contributors Elena Bargelli is full Professor of Private Law at the University of Pisa (Italy). She was a Research Fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Stiftung at the Max Planck Institut für ausländisches und internationales Privatrecht in Hamburg (20082009), Visiting Fellow at the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, London (20112012) and at the Yale Law School, New Haven, USA (2007). She is currently a member of the ELI (European Law Institute) Council and Membership Committee. She is also a member of ECTIL (European Centre of Tort and Insurance Law). Her areas of interest are contract law, tort law, family law and housing law both from the national and comparative perspectives. Ranieri Bianchi has a Degree in Juridical Sciences (cum laude), a Master's Degree in Law (cum laude) and a PhD in Private Law. He has a research grant on contract law at the University of Pisa and is a practising lawyer. In 2011 he was appointed as young researcher under the TENLAW Project, co-ordinated by the University of Bremen and funded by the EU Commission within the 7th Framework Program. For many years, he has been dealing with issues in housing law, particularly tenancy rights and has written essays and other legal publications on these topics.
