Omer Aijazi is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Toronto. His work lies at
the intersections of social repair and non-normativity in settings of multiple forms of
violence.
Grace Akello, PhD, is currently an Associate Professor and Coordinator of a pioneer
Master's of Medical Anthropology Programme in East and Central Africa hosted by
Gulu University. She trained in Medical Anthropology at the University of Amsterdam
and Leiden University in the Netherlands, where she was a NUFFIC and WOTRO fellow
respectively. Since 2012, she has been a Research Fellow at the African Studies Centre
in Leiden University. Her main research interests include how people living in complex
emergencies and with HIV/AIDS identify, prioritize and manage their health complaints.
Sittie Akima A. Ali is a Doctor of Public Administration candidate at Xavier University
(Ateneo de Cagayan) in the Philippines. She is also the Focal Person of the Institute
Records and Archives Office and Administrative Officer IV in the Office of the Vice
Chancellor for Administration and Finance, Mindanao State University ­ Iligan Institute
of Technology (MSU-IIT), Philippines. She lectures on civic welfare training at MSU-IIT
and her research interests include social governance, public policy and administration and
gender.
David N. Almarez (Doctor of Management) is the Vice Chancellor for Administration
and Finance and Professor of Political Science, Mindanao State University ­ Iligan
Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT) in the Philippines. His research interests include
e-Government, democracy and government reform.
