This chapter provides commentary on art. 2 of the CRC on non-discrimination. The chapter explains how the reference to jurisdiction further defines the personal scope of application of the Convention, looks into the accessory nature of the prohibition of discrimination, and explores the types of discrimination, the list of prohibited grounds, and the types of obligations covered by the CRC. It also addresses the interlinkages between non-discrimination and vulnerability.
