Ivar Alvik is Professor at the Faculty of Law, University of Oslo, Scandinavian
Institute of Maritime Law. Professor Alvik specialises in and is responsible for the
teaching in contract law, petroleum law and international investment law at the
University of Oslo. He has extensive experience both as a counsel in arbitral
proceedings and as an arbitrator.
Dafina Atanasova is a Research Fellow at the Centre for International Law of the
National University of Singapore. Prior to her appointment, Dr Atanasova worked as a
legal consultant at the International Investment Agreements Section of the United
Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and research assistant for
Professor Gabrielle Kaufmann-Kohler at the University of Geneva. She is admitted to
the Bulgarian Bar and consults on matters of international law and arbitration for
Dokovska, Atanasov and Partners LLP (Bulgaria).
Sarah Bauerle Danzman is an Assistant Professor of International Studies in the
Hamilton Lugar School of Global and International Studies at Indiana University
Bloomington. Professor Bauerle Danzman also holds affiliated appointments with the
Political Science Department, the Vincent and Elinor Ostrom Workshop in Political
Theory and Policy Analysis, and the Center for the Study of Global Change. She serves
as a director for the Randall L and Deborah F Tobias Center for International
Development.
Jorun Baumgartner is Programme Officer in the International Investment Agreements
(IIA) section of UNCTAD. Prior to this, she worked as a Research Fellow at the Chair of
