Abstract/Description:

Competition law is now facing challenges that are perhaps overturning its very foundations. These challenges are brought about by the increased use of big data, machine-learning and the fact that everything in business is aiming at using, recycling and affecting the quality of information. These require extensive policy changes on the part of competition law. EU competition rules is one of the few legal tools available to tackle these issues and there is therefore a need to discuss how to accommodate the changing environment, by offering concrete tips on how to update competition law in the age of digitalisation, stemming from the lack of such information.
