Chapter 7 draws conclusions. In summarizing the findings of the present study, the chapter pinpoints the interaction and reciprocal influence between law and society in China, identifies the commonalities and similarities of law in China’s various historical periods, compares the historical continuities of Chinese law with the similar features of Western legal systems, and concludes that the interaction of law and society cannot be overstated.
