BUILDING AND PLANNING LEGISLATION AMENDMENT (GOVERNANCE AND OTHER MATTERS) ACT 2013 (NO. 34 OF 2013) - SECT 20

    (1)     Insert the following heading to section 127 of the Building Act 1993 —

" Immunity for Commissioners, members of public authorities and staff ".

    (2)     In section 127 of the Building Act 1993 —

        (a)     in subsection (1)—

              (i)     for "The Commissioner" substitute
"A Commissioner"; and

              (ii)     omit "employed,"; and

              (iii)     for "Commission" substitute "Authority";

        (b)     in subsection (2)—

              (i)     for "the Commissioner" substitute
"a Commissioner"; and

              (ii)     for "Commission" (where twice occurring) substitute "Authority"; and

              (iii)     omit "employed,".
