Victorian Numbered Acts Victorian Numbered Acts(1) The purpose of accreditation under this Part is to attest that a person who operates a commercial bus service or a local bus service has demonstrated to the satisfaction of the Safety Director, and can continue to demonstrate to the satisfaction of the Safety Director, that the person has the competence and capacity to manage the risks to safety associated with operating the commercial bus service or local bus service.
(2) For the purposes of subsection (1), if an operator of a commercial bus service or a local bus service is not a natural person, the responsible person, in relation to the commercial bus service or local bus service, is to demonstrate the competence and capacity specified in that subsection.
