DEAKIN UNIVERSITY ACT 2009 (NO. 71 OF 2009) - SECT 31

Manner of making university statutes and university regulations

    (1)     A university statute made by the Council must—

        (a)     be in writing; and

        (b)     have the common seal of the University affixed; and

        (c)     be submitted to the Minister for approval.

    (2)     The Council must ensure that university statutes and university regulations are readily available to the public by whatever means the Council considers appropriate.

    (3)     The Council may revoke or amend any university statute made under this Part in the same manner and subject to the same terms and conditions as the university subject was made.

    (4)     The Vice-Chancellor may revoke or amend any university regulation made under section 30(1)(b).

    (5)     The academic board or its equivalent may revoke or amend any university regulation made by the academic board or its equivalent under section 30(1)(b).

Note

Section 30 of this Act empowers a university statute to provide for the revocation and amendment of university regulations.
