    (1)     In section 3 of the Swinburne University of Technology Act 2010 , the definitions of appointed member and elected member are repealed .

    (2)     In section 3 of the Swinburne University of Technology Act 2010 , insert the following definition—

""government appointed member" means a member of the Council appointed under section 12(1) or (2);".
