Before section 39 of the Interpretation of Legislation Act 1984 insert —

        " 38I     References to Marine Safety (Domestic Commercial Vessel) National Law

In an Act or subordinate instrument—

"Marine Safety (Domestic Commercial Vessel) National Law" means—

        (a)     the Commonwealth domestic commercial vessel national law within the meaning of section 3 of the Marine (Domestic Commercial Vessel National Law Application) Act 2013 ; and

        (b)     the applied provisions within the meaning of section 3 of the Marine (Domestic Commercial Vessel National Law Application) Act 2013 .".
