MELBOURNE SAILORS' HOME (REPEAL) ACT 2006 (NO 28 OF 2006) - SECT 1

The purposes of this Act are—

        (a)     to repeal the Melbourne Sailors' Home Act 1986 ; and

        (b)     to close the Sailors' Welfare Fund established under that Act; and

        (c)     to provide for the transfer of all money standing to the credit of the Sailors' Welfare Fund to the Consolidated Fund.
