ROAD SAFETY AMENDMENT (DRINKING WHILE DRIVING) ACT 2011 (NO. 77 OF 2011) - SECT 5

    (1)     In section 88(1) of the Road Safety Act 1986 , after "for the purposes of this Part" insert ", or that is a drinking while driving infringement,".

    (2)     In section 88(5) of the Road Safety Act 1986 , after "any traffic infringement" insert "(other than a drinking while driving infringement)".

    (3)     After section 88(5) of the Road Safety Act 1986 insert —

    "(5A)     The penalty for the purposes of this section for a drinking while driving infringement is 2 penalty units.".
