(1) If a court
convicts a person of an offence against this Act, the court, on an application
by the complainant, may order the person to pay any reasonable costs or
expenses that were incurred by the State —
(a) in
exercising the powers in Part 6 Division 2;
(b) in
transporting, storing or destroying, or otherwise disposing of, substances,
articles or other material; or
(c) in
submitting any thing to an examination or to testing,
in connection with
investigating and prosecuting the offence.
(2) An order made
under subsection (1) does not form part of the sentence imposed for the
offence.
